The ONE and the Many.-
And what about Wisdom?
From the very onset of my blog., I made it absolutely clear, that I will not engage in any religious dogma with our youth. Religion is a personal matter for each one of us and one best left to one's family for discussion. Nonetheless, the questions keep on coming from our young inquisitive minds as they struggle to understand the concept of "Polytheism," the belief in many Gods, versus "Monotheism" the belief of one God. I would like to explain that to me, they are both one of the same. The best way to explain such concepts is to use the Light and its properties.
Many of you have done the science experiment of using a prism and watched a ray of daylight broken down into its component parts. The colors of the rainbow are revealed to you. That is to say from one source of light, we can see that it is made of a multitude of colors (spectrum). In fact, this spectrum of light is used by our stargazers, the astronomers, to reveal the secretes of other parts of galaxies beyond our reach.
Thus, regardless of whether your beliefs have you follow the left side of this graphic picture (Monotheism) or the right side (Polytheism), know that they are both one of the same. Enjoy the sacredness and beauty of your inner Light and the rainbow of colors it reveals to you as you go through life attaining wisdom, the path to the Elysium Fields and your just reward.
And what about Wisdom?
That answer lies in the ultimate reality for which I search and you my young freinds will seek in your enlightened path: If I were to use the "cosmic" example I have just stated and bring this a bit closer to our earthly environment, I would explain it as follows:
Imagine that you are walking in a beautiful forest: Your senses are hypersensitive to everything around you, the flow of air brushning the leaves on the trees and brush, your skin. The ground reacting to the weight of your walk, the birds chirping here and there. Prying animals eyes of small and large, anxious about your presence and questioning if your are friend or foe. As you begin to philosophize that this beauty which sourounds you is there to serve your higher needs, a thought enters your consciousness, what it would be like to be any one of these elements; the wind, the leaves, the sun and the water flowing in the tiny brook, you have just come about? At that very instance you realise that "yes", these wonderful and inspirational elements which play at your sense of the world around you, are not there to "serve" you but they are part of you as any part of your body, your eyes for instance being the windows which help you view these wonderful elements just as much as your sense of smell, touch and other senses, help you realise that all is part of "the one"... YOU!
